CPS Hosts OPFMA Building Operator Certifications Program

Columbus, Ohio - Commercial Parts & Service, Inc. will again be hosting the Ohio Public Facilities Maintenance Association's BOC (Building Operator Certification) Program at their Columbus, Ohio location.

The BOC Program covers seven areas of building operations including: Building Systems Overview, Energy Conservation Techniques, HVAC Systems and Controls, Efficient Lighting Fundamentals, Operation & Maintenance Practices for Sustainable Buildings, Indoor Air Quality and Facility Electrical Systems. The program encompasses eight one-day classes conducted over a period of seven months. Attendees are comprised of facilities leaders from Ohio's school systems, public institutions, county offices, universities and any other groups associated with the OPFMA.

"It's a great partnership for our company," explained Dan Farmer. "Many of the attendees are already customers of ours and it's a way we can give back to those that keep our public buildings in top shape. It's just one more way we can use our 1200 square-foot training center."
