Ask A Tech: Why Can’t I Just Match the Part Up Instead of Ordering it From the Manufacturer?

As the authorized service agent for over 150 manufacturers, CPS knows commercial kitchen parts.  What we do as parts technicians is replace defective parts with OEM (original equipment manufactured) parts.  Essentially, a thermostat or gas valve could be an exact match for two different pieces of equipment but we only use the thermostat or valve that comes directly from the factory.

By using OEM parts, commercial kitchen equipment is still under warranty so it will be easier to keep your kitchen running longer.  OEM parts also ensure that your commercial kitchen appliance operates at peak levels for as long as possible.

When you don’t use OEM parts, you run the risk of putting your appliance, your kitchen, and even your patrons and employees at risk.  We only use OEM parts because we won’t settle for anything less than the best.
