Tips to a Perfect Relationship… With Your Kitchen

This probably isn’t your first kitchen rodeo but let’s recap anyway. What is the first step to having an awesome commercial kitchen?

Anyone?

Hello?

Okay fine. So clearly the first step to having an awesome commercial kitchen is having a running commercial kitchen. Bet you thought we were going to say something more complicated, huh? As far as we’re concerned, managing a sweet kitchen is as straight forward as cooking great food all the time. We know that’s not always simple, but c’mon, food is so worth it.

We’ve established that to have a good commercial kitchen you have to, you know, maintain it. But what does that even mean?! We didn’t even learn how to clean our rooms until we were in our late 20s. How does one go about keeping an entire kitchen up and running?! What kind of sorcery is this?

Everyone, just calm down. We’re CPS. We have the answers. Here’s what you need to do to keep your kitchen functional, fresh, and…funky. No, not funky. We just needed another word that started with f.

• Clean! A clean kitchen is a happy kitchen and a happy kitchen is an efficient kitchen. Just imagine all your stoves and refrigerators with smiling faces. Wait, don’t do that. That kinda sounds creepy.

• Get them OEM parts! You equipment just loves it when you get parts that were actually made by the manufacturer. Using third party manufacturers is madness. Simply madness.

• When your equipment needs service, good gracious give it service. If your equipment has a little problem, it won’t be long before that turns into a large problem. You know what a kitchen is with a large problem ? Closed, probably.

Great, so now you know how to build a healthy relationship with your kitchen. Unfortunately, we probably can’t help you with other relationship advice. We’re really sorry.

That tagline definitely won’t work. Ignore it.
