Service Technician Job Description

As a Service Technician for CPS, you will perform on-site troubleshooting, maintenance, and installation of various equipment used in commercial kitchens.

Typical food service equipment serviced would include: refrigerators, ovens, conventional stoves, etc.

Technicians are dispatched from our main office to the customer's location. We provide a service vehicle, company uniform, cellular phone allowance, specialty tools, and a competitive pay and benefits program.

Responsibilities

  • Great communication skills
  • General organizational skills
  • Keeping an open line of communication with the customer
  • Diagnosing commercial cooking and refrigeration equipment
  • Researching part numbers and pricing
  • Participate in continuous technical industry training

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 2 years education and experience in commercial food service equipment repair, electrical, HVAC and steam repair
  • Experience with refrigeration and HVAC is preferred, but not required
  • Preferred qualifications: CFESA, RSES, EPA and other applicable certifications

Requirements:

  • A valid Driver’s License
  • An acceptable driving record
  • Experience with electrical control systems
  • Familiarity reading wiring schematics, diagrams and part manuals
  • Ability to use an iPad or computer tablet
