After expanding to 13 home delivery divisions within the franchise, Jerry pursued his passion to finding a solution for keeping food hot. Over the years, his groundbreaking inventions, such as Halo Heat Technology and the introduction to the Combitherm Oven, allowed him double the size of Alto-Shaam’s headquarters in Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin. In the 1990’s, Alto-Shaam expanded their innovated services overseas as they gained even more customers in other countries, such as France and Canada. Today, the family-owned business is now efficiently ran by Jerry’s children, Steve Maahs and Karen Hansen, as they continue Alto-Shaam’s legacy as pioneers within the foodservice industry.
